Day 3 In Detox
What can I say it's day three and I am still here. Monday came and went. I went to bed hungry. Tuesday came and went. Tuesday was difficult because dinner; which was foccacia and spinach was so so. I felt like I had a very sad piece of pizza and then my body was like now what. So true to form I ate fresh baby spinach and grape tomatoes. I really tired to make the dessert which was coconut cookies (by the way two little cookies) last by adding blueberries to it. Tuesday was rough and I went to bed hungry again. I am finding it easier during the day to deal with the hunger however at night I feel really ravenous. I hope tonight will be better. I thought I would miss my wine but I really miss my coffee from A Market and chocolates from Chocolate Solider. I have been drinking a lot of hot/warm water however today I treated myself to decaf green tea. I am living it up! So today around 1:00 after a skinny jean workout, and Iyengar yoga I headed to 118 to pick up my food. I walked in and was so happy to be getting more food! Michelle, who is the girl that organizes the pick up of the food, asked me how I was doing. I told her that I am really hunger and wish there was more food. I told her that I was adding spinach, apples, and blueberries to my meals and she said that's fine. She also asked me if I had lost any weight and I was happy to say I lost 1.5 pounds!!!!!! There must be something to this. There are currently 70 people doing the 118 degree Detox. I picked up my food and it actually looked like I got more food. I had my breakfast (avocado and orange bar) in between skinny jean work out and Iyengar Yoga. I was so happy to come home and have lunch which was swiss chard lettuce wraps...which I added more baby spinach. I am a big girl I got to eat! Maybe their plan is to starve you then reprogram the way your body wants food. I am watching to see how my body looks...sometimes it looks like an Ethiopian child! I am watching to see how my skin and my eyes look. I thought that my skin and eyes would like brighter. I know I have a lot of expectations, but inquiring minds want to know. My friend Inger has recently come across info about how food is processed and the way we process meat. There is something to be said about eating clean. I think she will be making some changes as well as writing our congressmen! I continue on this journey and everyday I look forward to how my body will feel and look.
